How to update salary code in the master level.

To update an employee’s salary code in the master level, please follow the steps below: 

Step 1: Navigation

1. Go to Settings.

2. Select Settings List.

3. Navigate to Staffing Templates.

4. Click on Salary Structure.

Step 2: Open Salary Code Screen

• In the Salary Structure section, click on Salary Code.

• Once the Salary Code screen opens:

  • Select the Salary Structure for which you need to update the salary code.

  • Select the Working State and click Load.

Single Salary Code Update

1. Click on the Plus (+) icon to update a single salary code.

2. Select the Salary Structure from the dropdown.

3. Enter and select the Designation.

4. Choose the Working State from the dropdown.

5. Ensure that the Minimum Wages are updated in the Master level — the system will automatically display the corresponding wages in the dropdown.

6. Refresh the salary code list and click Save.

Bulk Salary Code Update

1. Click on the Upward Arrow (⬆️) icon to access the Import Option.

2. Download the Sample Excel Template.

3. Update the Excel sheet with the required salary code details.

4. Refer to the Instructions provided in the Excel sheet before uploading.

5. Import the updated Excel sheet to apply bulk changes.

Mapping Salary Code at Contract Level

Once the Salary Code is created and updated in the Master Level, it can be mapped at the Contract Level for employees with a Fixed Salary Structure.

Steps to Map Salary Code under Contract Level:

1. Navigate to the Contract section in the application.

2. Open the respective Contract Record.

3. Go to the Budget tab (as shown in the image).

4. Under the Salary Code section:

   • Select the required Salary Structure List (e.g., PhonePe).

   • Choose the Designation and Working State.

   • Load and assign the corresponding Salary Structure Code from the dropdown.

5. Once mapped, click Save to finalize the setup.

This ensures that employees associated with the contract will automatically inherit the configured Fixed Salary Structure based on the mapped Salary Code.
