Overview
The Holiday Template feature allows administrators to define holiday schedules and templates that can be applied across teams, departments, or the organization. This ensures consistency in managing holidays and automating processes that depend on holiday schedules.
Steps to Configure a Holiday Template
1. Access the Holiday Template Configuration
- Log in to the SaaS product with administrator credentials.
- Navigate to the Settings menu.
- Go to Staffing template from the available options.
- Click on Holiday Template to view the configuration page
2. Create a New Holiday Template
- On the Holiday Templates page, click the New button.
- There are 2 ways for creation:
- Creating a one-by-one holiday title
Click on “New” to create a new Holiday Template, enter the template title and then clicking on the (+) option and enter holiday title and holiday date and then click on Save
- Bulk holiday upload
- Click on Upload icon on top right corner on the title bar as mentioned in the below snapshot (image 1)
- Click on Download Sample Excel Template
- Enter data in the downloaded sample excel in given format only – Save the file.(image 2)
- Click on Select a file button – select the excel file – Click on Import to upload the file in the portal

3. Editing or Updating a Holiday Template
- Go to the Holiday Templates section
- Locate the template you wish to edit and click on the Edit icon.
- Select the existing template name from the Holiday Template dropdown – Make the required changes by clicking on edit icon (image 1)
- Click on the (+) button to add the new holidays for the calendar year (Image 2)

Note - The same can also be uploaded/modified through the excel import option
4. Review and Finalize the Template
- Review the list of holidays added to the template for accuracy.
- Click Save Template to finalize the configuration.
- A confirmation message will be displayed: "Template saved successfully."
5. Mapping the Holiday Template to the billing options
- To apply the template:
- Default Holiday Template need to map under Billing Options under Staffing Master section in Setting List
- Click on Save to confirm.
- When billing option is mapped with the created holiday template which will be set as the default Holiday template mapped to Employees
- Change Holiday template only in case of different holiday template based on employee working location if applicable under Employee Staffing details
- Billing option to be mapped while creating Client contract in application.
6. Deleting a Holiday Template
- Navigate to the Holiday Templates section.
- Select the template and holiday record to be deleted.
- Click the Delete icon.
- Confirm the deletion in the prompt. Note: Templates assigned to teams or departments cannot be deleted without unassigning them first.
Additional Tips
- Use clear and consistent naming conventions for templates to avoid confusion.
- Double-check dates and holiday classifications for accuracy.
- Inform affected teams when assigning or updating templates to ensure proper communication.
